Looks Like II

Arlo’s good friend wears straps to correct his in-toeing, or “pigeon-toed” walking.  The white straps swirl up and down both his legs and when Arlo saw them he exclaimed, “They look like curvy roads!”, which is just about the best compliment one could receive from my four-year-old.

Today when getting Farrah ready, Arlo looked at her Indian Barbie, commented on her sparkly earrings and “long, long, LONG” hair, as he does every morning, but then paused and pointing at Barbie’s sari said, “Hey Momma!  She has curvy roads just like my friend!”

And so she does.  My son, Arlo Endu, which means “moon” in Bengali, is pure light.

More from Arlo:

This looks like a purse to me.

“This looks like a purse to me.”

Look at those tracks!

“Look at those tracks!” (I see milk ducts.)

Look Momma! I see a Y in the sky!

“Look Momma! I see a Y in the sky!”

These are your garbage truck jammie pants.

“These are your garbage truck jammie pants.”

I see a 3!

“I see a 3! Hey – I see LOTS of 3s!”

Look Momma! A heartbeat!

“Look Momma! A heartbeat!”
